The Art and Science of Endurance

Online Training

I use Training Peaks software to give you a real one on one coaching experience online.

Yeah, coaching has made it into the 21st century, too. Now I can work on goal setting, organize monthly workout schedules, track progress and provide some real accountability - all online. Along with the proper tools (heart rate monitors and GPS watches) I can also monitor distance, speed and exertion levels in your workouts. You can upload files from all the best devices including Garmin, Timex, Suunto, Polar and of course there are many apps for your i phone.

You pick your adventure and I'll help you map out a course to achieve it.  - Jeff Kozlovich

There are two ways to do this::

* Unlimited online advice through Training Peaks or email

* Emergency phone calls OK

* Access to all the great Training Peaks tools

* All custom designed for you  - to get you to your goal/adventure.

* $75 per month

2) Basic Monthly Plan Plus

* All the above

*Two one hour sessions (Oahu between Ala Moana and Sandy Beach)

*Trails, Bike, Swimming - whatever it takes to get you to your goal

 FAQs

Are these training plans off the shelf or really designs with each client in mind?

All training plans are custom designed to fit you and your goals and when you need to peak for your event. I don't have anyone do them for me - no interns, no less experienced help. If and when I have too much work I'll find someone experienced to help and let you know. Right now its just me and the accountant and I promise he isn't doing any of the training plans.

How exactly are you defining "endurance" and "extreme" events?

I'm an Endurance Trainer.  If you're just looking to "get in shape" there are lots of other PTs out there who can help. If your going extreme, you're in the right place. Triathlons, marathons, ultra runs, distance paddeling, swimming, XTERRA races and any other crazy event you have in mind, even if it's not an organized race. Want to swim from one Hawaiian Island to another?  Or evenone Caribbean island to another? I can help. That's what I do. If your athlete friends are telling you you're frickin' crazy, that's a good indication, too.

Any guarantees about safety?

NO! You are on a level here where there aren't any guarantees. I have a lot of experience and a lifetime of involvement in extreme sports with very few injuries and a very safe record with my clients. I want you to be safe. I'll give you the best advice I can but no guarantees. If you're getting involved in extreme sports and thinking someone other than you is going to be responsible then maybe you should call you local cable company and subscribe to the adventure channel and just experience it on TV.

Am I signing a contract for a certain number of months?

No, no contract. You pay the first month in advance and I send you an invoice the last week of the month to renew. Cancel anytime - even mid month and I'll refund the balance no questions asked. BUT that goes both ways. If I think you aren't sincere about your training I may cancel you! Anytime!

Do I have to live in Hawaii?

No, you don't.  You can just get the training plans and maybe meet in person on your next trip here.
